A study has found that stress can cause impaired Immunity due to a reduction of white blood cells. This can be caused when the body is overloaded with day to day worries and stressful conditions such as work targets, exams and public speaking.
Cardio vascular disease can be associated by work stress including raised blood pressure and heart rate.
Obesity has been linked to chronic stress and increasing fatty abdominal deposits due to increased food intake when suffering from physical or mental pressure.
Sleep disorders have been directly attributed to Stress. These included insomnia, daytime fatigue and sleep deprivation in a study in which 3079 middle aged men took part in.
